The Integrated Library System of Universidade Federal do Agreste de Pernambuco (SIB-UFAPE) is a supplementary unit linked to the Rector’s Office. It is responsible for the integrated management of the university’s libraries, providing information services in support of the university’s teaching, research, extension, innovation, and cultural activities.

Its collection is primarily focused on undergraduate and graduate programs in Agricultural Sciences, Education, and Exact Sciences. The SIB-UFAPE provides services including borrowing, renewals, online hold requests, standardization of academic papers, and UFAPE’s scientific publications, among others.

It currently consists of the Central Library, which occupies a total area of 1,195.35 m², including 412.97 m² dedicated to the physical collection and a spacious 188.22 m² shared study hall. The facility also includes individual study stations, several rooms (for group study, technical activities, administration, undergraduate thesis defenses, among others), as well as service counters for both internal and external community members.

The entire building is air-conditioned and features prominently displayed, well-distributed signage. Study and collection areas are well-lit during both daytime and nighttime hours. In terms of safety, the building includes a main entrance/exit, two emergency exits, and an emergency lighting system. It is also equipped with fire extinguishers and an anti-theft system.
