University Veterinary Hospital

The shared-use structure of the University Veterinary Hospital at Universidade Federal do Agreste de Pernambuco (HVU-UFAPE) supports the activities of the PPGSA through faculty members who work within its facilities. The hospital complex is organized into departments that provide support for teaching, research, and extension activities, covering clinical, laboratory, and surgical services.

Directly under the authority of UFAPE’s Rector’s Office, the structure comprises the following departments: Administrative Sector, Pharmacy, Small Animal Clinical Medicine, Clinical Surgery and Anesthesiology (featuring a surgical suite with two operating rooms—one for routine procedures and the other for general and specialized surgeries), as well as laboratories for Clinical Pathology and Imaging Diagnostics. The complex also houses a Central Sterile Services Department.
